Q: How is support provided?
A: Support can be provided on-site and off-site, via email, phone, live chat and screen share.
Q: How is training provided?
A: Training and demonstrations can be provided onsite and FREE online. Our dedicated specialists are on-call to answer queries. We aim to resolve issues within 24 hours of reporting.
Q: Where is ALAVEX hosted?
A: Our hosting company has many servers across multiple locations and provide virtually 100% uptime with daily backups, so you can be sure that your data is held as securely as possible.

Q: What is Back-Office?
A: The internal operations of an organisation that are not accessible or visible to the general public. ALAVEX uses an online-based system where customers’ information, reports, statistics, bookings and financial information can be entered and viewed. This also includes property information, reviews, special offers, maintenance work and cleaning schedules. Information for the website can also be updated using the back-office system (also known as back-end system).
Q: What is Website Integration?
A: The ALAVEX Solutions back-office can connect the information within it to your public website.
Q: What is System Integration?
A: The ALAVEX Solution can connect its data directly to other companies systems, if required. This involves a certain amount of automated data transfer. System integration enables efficiency and allows our customers to continue working with the suppliers they are happy with. The benefit is that the ALAVEX Solution and external systems co-operate smoothly together.
Q: What is PMS?
A: PMS stands for Property Management Systems. It is a generic term for applications of computer hardware and/or software used to manage hotels or other accommodations. It involves reservation databases, point-of-sales system, accounting system and other office software.
Q: How do I pay?
A: ALAVEX is a UK based business and as such generally accepts payment in £GBP (Great Britain Pounds). However, if you prefer a different currency, please ask and we will confirm if it is possible. Set-up costs are taken in advance and monthly payments can be taken by standing order or direct debit.
Q: What Internet Connection do I need?
A: Ideally, you will need at least 1MB. However, the faster the better.
Q: What type of server do I need?
A: You can use your own windows-based hosting company that has an SQL database allocated. Alternatively, you can host with EUK-HOST, which has proven to provide good service and good connection speed.
Q: How do we back-up our information?
A: Back-ups are run automatically by your hosting company. However, if you want additional peace of mind you can back-up the data manually at anytime using the instructions provided by us.
Q: Is my company data safe?
A: ALAVEX is a web-based solution so only data downloaded will be on your computer. The data on the system belongs to you and will not be shared with any third party. Service work and upgrades will only be done by ALAVEX with prior notice to you, using the official notification email address provided.
Q: What training does ALAVEX provide to our company?
A: ALAVEX Solution has been developed to be easy to use. Additionally, help files are available online. During the set-up process, we will provide training; online or on-site (on-site chargeable). Additional training can be requested using screen-share online. For other questions, we are available at any time so just contact us and we will be happy to help.
Q: How do I contact ALAVEX?
A: You can contact us in any way you feel comfortable. We are available by phone, email, online chat, Skype, Facebook, LinkedIn and you can request us to call you. The choice is yours. Currently we can only offer support in English. However, this will be extended in the future.
Q: Do I keep my information forever?
A: Yes, any information you upload onto your ALAVEX system is yours forever. If you have to leave us for any reason, all your data will be kept safe for you and you will be able to access it when you need it.
